- Young children should brush their teeth every morning and night.
- Children under age 3 should use a smear of toothpaste the size of a grain of rice; children ages 3 to 6 should use a pea-sized amount.
- Teeth should be brushed for two minutes each time. Brushing and flossing every day helps to remove food and plaque.
